Can Video Analytics Transform Safety in Maritime?

Join the exclusive webinar and discover three unique tech companies from Lloyd’s Register’s award-winning Safety Accelerator

Across maritime industries, humans remain the biggest cause of accidents both in ports and on board. However, video analytics can increasingly identify unsafe traits, trends and behaviours and help prevent accidents and improve safety, with many ship owners starting to consider these technologies as viable in day to day operations.

This webinar explores the use of video to improve safety and manage risk in industrial environments, showcasing three innovative and diverse solutions that support safety in maritime.

Hear from industry experts, as they debate dynamic use cases and key issues around adopting video analytics in maritime; such as privacy and culture change, during our exclusive Fireside Chat session with Andrew McKeran, Commercial Director - Marine and Offshore at Lloyd’s Register and Nick Chubb, Founder at Thetius.

The webinar will feature marine leaders Seaspan, Scorpio and Wallenius Wilhelmsen who will share their experiences with safety innovations in maritime during our Spotlight Session.

Explore how technologies can be used to identify crew’s fitness; real-time risk; and unsafe behaviours on the ship; as we introduce you to three innovative companies that should be on your radar.

Meet the leading technologists from the Lloyd’s Register Safety Accelerator:

Senseye uses high-resolution video footage of the eye, to quantify previously inaccessible cognitive insights. Using commercial-off-the-shelf cameras, eye movements are measured using a method that enables the monitoring of brain activity, giving an instant assessment for the presence of drugs, alcohol, stress or fatigue.

Sensing Feeling monitors situational risks to reduce accidents and near misses and identifies potentially unsafe situations, before they occur. Using advanced human emotion sensing IoT, powered by computer vision and machine learning, it’s designed to sense how users are feeling, by observing behaviour in real time, real-world conditions.

IronYun is an innovative enterprise-grade video analytics and search solution, that enables users to quickly add and alert unsafe behaviours, in all weathers and lighting conditions. The innovative solution can be added to an existing camera solution and delivers results immediately.
