Lorenzo Spoerry, Deputy editor, Insurance Day
Lorenzo joined Insurance Day in August 2017 from S&P Global Market Intelligence, where he led the coverage of European, Middle Eastern and African insurance and reinsurance. Prior to that he held a variety of roles within financial journalism.

Michel Blanc, CEO of reinsurance, Scor Global P&C
Michel Blanc started his career with Scor in 1992 as a facultative casualty underwriter in the large corporate risks division. From 1995 to 2000, he was in charge of property/casualty business for Japan and Korea, based in Tokyo. The next eight years saw him in Paris, where from 2001 to 2005 he was the underwriting and planning manager at Scor business solutions, and in New York, where from 2005 to 2008 he was senior vice president in charge of Scor US Discontinued Business. He moved to Singapore as chief underwriting officer of Scor Global P&C for Asia-Pacific, before taking on the role of chief executive of Scor Global P&C for Asia-Pacific on April 1, 2017. He took the role of chief executive of Scor Global P&C’s reinsurance business on April 1, 2019.

Ken Randall, Executive chairman, Randall & Quilter
Ken Randall has worked in the Insurance industry for more than 40 years. During the early 1980s, Randall was head of regulation at Lloyd’s which was then a self-regulated institution. From 1985 until 1991 he served as chief executive of the Merrett Group, which managed a number of prominent syndicates at Lloyd’s. In 1991, Randall left Merrett to set up his own business in partnership with Alan Quilter. Over the next 8 years they developed the group’s principal subsidiary, the Eastgate Group, into the UK’s largest third party provider of insurance services with 1,300 employees and a turnover of over £80m per annum. Eastgate was sold to Capita plc in November 2000. Following the sale of Eastgate, Ken and Alan refocused R&Q onto the acquisition of non-life legacy run-off portfolios and again developed an insurance servicing business in London and the US. Randall remains a principal shareholder and is Executive Chairman of the Group.

Tom Clementi, Chief Executive Officer, MS Amlin Underwriting Limited
Tom Clementi worked as a solicitor at Linklaters before completing an MBA at Insead and joining Amlin plc in 2007. Clementi initially worked in the group strategy team before becoming underwriting and operations manager for the London market marine and aviation business in 2012. Subsequently he worked as head of strategy and business development before setting up a new office in Miami in 2014 focused on the Latin American reinsurance market.
On his return to London in 2015 Tom worked in the group risk team before being appointed interim chief executive of Amlin Underwriting Limited and then deputy chief executive of MS Amlin Underwriting Limited following the integration of Amlin’s and MSI’s Lloyd’s businesses in May 2016. He was appointed chief executive of MS Amlin Underwriting Limited in late 2016 and currently serves as a director of the Lloyd’s Market Association.

Andy Bragoli, Chief Executive Officer, RKH Specialty
Chief Executive Officer RKH Specialty Andy joined Howden in 1997 as employee number 13. He was initially a specialist in financial lines business and has held various senior broking, management and board positions throughout his 23 years at the Group. From October 2020, when the RKH brands take on the Howden name, Andy will become CEO of Howden Insurance Brokers, which brings together Howden’s UK retail, international specialty, binder and reinsurance businesses.

Jon Guy, Insurance Correspondent
Jon has been a Journalist for 30 years and spent ten years working on a variety of UK national newspapers. During his time in the international re/insurance trade media based in the UK he has edited Post Magazine, Insurance Age and Insurance Day and was Editorial Director of Infoma plc’s Insurance Division where he was a key part of the team which managed the acquisition of 37 titles from EMAP and Financial Times Newspapers to create the biggest insurance and risk publisher in the world. His reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and respected commentators on the wider insurance and risk sector sees him regularly asked to appear on the BBC and international news media to comment on insurance and risk topics and has won several individual honours at the annual UK Financial Services Media Awards organised by the Association of British Insurers. Jon is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Paul Juniper, Product management and pre-sales, AdvantageGo
Paul oversees the strategic direction for both existing and new software products and the continued development of strategic partner relationships in his role at AdvantageGo. Before joining AdvantageGo in 2007, Paul held senior roles within Finance and Management Information functions at Allianz, St Paul Re and Travelers.
Mike Mitchell, Head property & specialty underwriting reinsurance, Swiss Re
Mike has been with Swiss Re for 20 years, and has 29 years of reinsurance underwriting experience. He has expertise in developing and managing senior client / broker relationships, as well as leading cross cultural and functional teams in multiple offices around the globe. Mike has led multiple and diverse reinsurance projects at Swiss Re over his tenure at the company. Mike started his professional career in 1987 in client management and underwriting at MS&G Re in London, and has since worked in the industry in Asia, as well as Australia and Europe.
He is a member of the Australian Nuclear Insurance Pool Pty., a member of the Australian Business and Climate Group and an Advisory Board member at Macquarie University's Risk Frontiers program. Mike was born in 1966 and is a British citizen. He holds a BA from Exeter University in Economics and Politics, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.
Mike Van Slooten, Head of Business Intelligence, Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
Mike Van Slooten, is Head of Business Intelligence, Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions. Mr Van Slooten joined Aon Benfield in September 2010 as head of the International Research, having previously been with Guy Carpenter where he was head of its London-based Market Information team.
He has worked within the reinsurance industry for 23 years and has significant experience in monitoring the financial strength and performance of the world’s leading reinsurers, guiding clients through the reinsurer selection process and producing detailed industry research, with emphasis on the Lloyd’s Market.
Daniel Malloy, Chief Executive Officer, Third Point Insurance
Daniel V. Malloy Chief Executive Officer of Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. Mr Malloy been CEO since May 2019. he also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Third Point Reinsurance Company Ltd. Prior to joining the Third Point in 2012, Mr. Malloy worked at Aon Benfield where he co-led the Specialty Lines practice groups, which were responsible for providing clients and brokers with primary and reinsurance market updates, peer analytics, new product ideas, growth initiatives and placement assistance.
Specialty Lines include the casualty, professional liability, surety, workers’ compensation, property risk, environmental, structured reinsurance and MGA practices. Mr. Malloy has over 35 years of reinsurance experience including 10 years of structured reinsurance underwriting. Before joining Aon Benfield, he was President and a board member of Stockton Reinsurance Ltd. in Bermuda from 1998 to 2003.
